Kind Words

Real stories of client empowerment and autonomy.

"Monica is the reason I accomplished my birthing goals. Being a first-time mom with two previous miscarriages and frustrating hospital experiences, feeling anxious was an understatement. With Monica’s support, I finally gained the confidence I needed. She’s such a thoughtful, genuine, knowledgeable doula. Exactly what a mama needs. My family and I will forever be grateful for what she’s done for us."

Ting, mom of 1

"I had days of early labor and then back pain when my first doula offered to call in some help. I accepted, and Monica stepped into my home without hesitation, making me feel heard, supported, and so incredibly comfortable. Her calm presence helped me feel loved and safe in such a life-changing time. I can’t express how much she will warm your heart and be such a great part of your birth team."

Taryn, mom of 2

"Monica is such a sweet soul. She was of great comfort and support when I needed her both in pregnancy and early postpartum days. Sometimes you just need to feel heard and seen, and she is amazing at holding neutral space for this. Monica is a vast container of women's wisdom. I highly recommend her as an asset to your birthing or postpartum team."

Jenn, mom of 2

"Thank you for being there for me and Dan at my VBA2C. You provide such great support, both in person and via phone/text. You are a natural at supporting birth and holding space."

"You were the best doula for us. A true advocate for Meghan. I refuse to imagine what the birth would have been like without you."

"I've always valued how Monica empathizes that birthing choices aren’t right or wrong; they’re just choices. I feel like she helped me make my own choices around my birth this time around. She gave me the space to talk and listened to me. She reflected back what I shared and offered facts and stories about multiple options. She affirmed for me that if I wanted to make a choice for myself, I was empowered to do that."

Kalika, mom of 4

"During my third pregnancy, I was debating whether or not to have a second c-section. Monica helped me consider the pros and cons, and when I decided on a repeat c-section, she reminded me I could still have a birth plan and helped me work through how to make it a positive experience. She is passionate, kind, gentle, respectful, and thoughtful."

Lael, mom of 3

"Monica is such a beautiful soul. I’m so glad that we crossed paths with her. Anything we could do would not be enough to repay how she helped us. The way Monica supported us during birth, I cannot imagine going through another birth without her. She has an amazing aura, the kind I’ve rarely seen before. The birth world is a better place with her in it."

Apurva, mom of 1

"Pregnancy doula and prenatal support person are both pretty apt names for what Monica was for me as a distance support person since she was in NH and I was in NM. She answered questions I had. She offered insight based on her experiences. She linked me to educational resources. She listened when I wanted to talk. She was a reference on baby gear. All very valuable services, especially for a first time mom."

Miranda, mom of 1

"I didn’t choose Monica as my doula; the universe gifted her to me. When I had an unexpectedly long labor, my original doula needed additional support, so I didn't meet Monica until what I remember being the pushing phase. I didn't even get a chance to connect with her until after I delivered my baby, but I am so incredibly grateful for her. She made me feel so safe and supported. I experienced a complication after birth, and in that moment of emergency, Monica was the emotional anchor I needed while my midwife focused on urgent medical care. She made everything feel normal, and isn't that what birth is? Normal! Monica not only cared for me, but also made sure my husband and even our dog felt supported. Even now, 9 months postpartum, I feel her ongoing care and presence. She is a uniquely giving, positive, and knowledgeable person, and I feel so lucky to have had her attend my birth."
